Most Used Summer Picks

It’s been an extremely hot week here in the U.K. and in between drinking iced coffees, I put together a little rundown of my most used Summer picks.

Side note: any gifted products have been marked with a **

It’s all about my hair lately and I’m very particular about the products I use. Don’t get me wrong I’m all for grabbing a bargain wherever I can but I refuse to cut corners with hair products. As my hair is bleached, it’s important that my hair products aren’t rammed full of silicones.

Kérastase Blond Absolu hair oil is an intense blonde strengthening oil for strength and to keep hair soft.
Three pumps of this applied to mid lengths to end is the key for my hair to be smoothe and tangle free. I use the Kérastase shampoo and conditioner during  every hair wash too.

This year I took the plunge and treated myself to a Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer  The hairdryer I had worked just fine but I couldn’t stop thinking about the Dyson. Is it worth it? Yes. Do you need it? Probably not.

My hair is frizz prone and naturally wavy, but when using  the Dyson blow dry brush my hair is left smoother and with no frizz in sight. It changed the game. I only blow dry my hair maybe once, twice a week. It’s definitely an investment tool and the blow dry attachments snap on in a magnetic way, it’s genius.

The last year has meant makeup has taken a back seat for me, makeup doesn’t serve much purpose when I’m working from home everyday! Skincare is my main focus at the moment.

Rodial Dragon’s Blood Eye Gel is a top tier eye hydration product and one I’ve used up, every last drop. I definitely enjoy the gel formula more so than a cream. It sits crease free under concealer and a little goes a very long way.

Indeed Labs Retinol Reface Skin Resurfacer is a must for me now I’ve got 30. We all want to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and retinol is a key ingredient for that. I use it a few times a week and always finish with a face oil on top. Retinol can be harsh and stripping, but helps to fight free radicals whilst speeding up cellular turnover.

Transparent Lab Rose Calming Cleanser** has a neautral PH level and is an effective everyday cleanser which I use in both my morning and evening routine. The rose fragrance isn’t overbearing and it’s an ideal cleanser for sensitive skin.

Back to the hair products because it’s clearly what I’m into right now! I saw this product and absolutely thought it was a gimmick. I suffer from a drier scalp especially during the warmer months. The Tangle Teezer scalp exfoliator and massager is your new best friend for a healthy scalp. It acts to massage, detox your scalp and remove any product build up.

I try not to use dry shampoo too much but when I just need a quick refresh I’ve been reaching for the
Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Joia refreshing dry shampoo. I opted for the smaller bottle as it’s pricier than my usual Batiste dry shampoo but it’s so worth it, especially for that signature Sol De Janeiro scent.

Last but not least the NARS Radiant Longwear Foundation is my absolute go to on the days I want to wear makeup. I mix shade Vallauris with a dewy highlighter and apply about three drops all over my face. It’s dewy, not matte and just works for my skin type. Highly recommend.
