Latest In Beauty Box

Hey guys,

So as you may or may not know, Birchbox recently changed their reward system and from what I can gather you can no longer collect points which previously equaled money to spend in the Birchbox online shop. After nearly 4 years with them,  I decided it was time to try something new. And what I discovered was my new monthly subscription, Latest In Beauty box!

The concept of the box is wonderful, each month you have a menu to choose products from so you essentially build your own box. The menu is made up of skincare, beauty, haircare, scents and natural products so there is really something to suit everyone. There is even a unisex catagory which is great, this box doesn't just have to be for ladies! I opted for a three item box to begin with but have the option to upgrade to more products at any point.

Features of Latest In Beauty
  • Three types of boxes containing either 3 products (£9), 6 products (£15) or 9 products (£18)
  • Postage and packaging included for monthly subscribers
  • Great cult brands such as Caudalie, Nails Inc and Philosophy.
  • Control the contents of your box
  • Make up bag free with your first box

The White Company Candle in Orange Grove
I've visited my local The White Company in Birmingham previously and always find a heap of things that I love. I spotted this on the menu and knew it was my first pick. For a small candle the scent throws quite far and they're a similar size to the Jo Malone travel candles. The scent is zesty and refreshing, the perfect summer home scent.

Endless Silky Eye Pen by Pixi in Black
Great little sized, creamy eyeliner that is ideal for using along the lash line. Whilst it is creamy, it doesn't become overly smudgy around my eyes but does ten to transfer to the bottom lash line which isn't a massive issue. I love the brand Pixi and have visited their Carnaby store several times, picking up some great products along the way.

Nails Inc Gel Effect Nail Polish in Colville Mews
This is a beautiful, natural, nude polish and one that can be a staple all year round. I didn't apply a base coat or a top coat as I wanted to see how this lasted with its gel effect qualities. By about day 4/5 it had began to chip on the ends but overall this polish lasts well and would be much better with a topcoat. Obsessed with the shade!

Bonus for new subscribers! I also found a code I had been emailed for a free Crab & Evelyn hand cream which smells so beautiful, not at all sickly and moisturises the driest of hands.

So that was my first glance at Latest in Beauty. Looking forward to choosing my products for next month's box already! If you want to find out more you can do so here
