Pixi On-The-Glow Blush

Right now I’m all about skin that glows, isn’t matte and feels hydrated. Gone are the days where I reach for a heap of powder to set my face. As I’ve reached the ripe old age of 30, I’m becoming more conscious of the formulations I reach for. Using powder zaps any moisture my skin has. Instead I reach for hydrating, dewy products which work well with my skincare base, such as creams or gels.

This package landed on my doorstep recently from the beauties at Pixi. Can we get a yes for the recyclable PR packaging?

Their new On-The-Glow Blush is a tinted moisture stick available in three punchy, pretty shades. The sticks are formulated with both Aloe Vera and Ginseng, along with a mix of Fruit Extracts. Perfect for adding a pop of colour to cheeks or lips whilst still hydrating skin. Exactly what a spring/summer makeup bag needs.

*Top - Juicy, Middle - Fleur, Bottom - Ruby*

The shades are Juicy (a vibrant coral with orange undertones), Fleur (a pretty pink) and Ruby ( a berry flush). I was actually pretty drawn to my usual pink, but I decided to reach for Juicy first. I’m so very glad I did because it’s gorgeous. It really works nice with a slight tan, freckles and natural makeup. I swiped it on my cheeks, nose and finally lips to tie in the look.

After applying this in the morning, I thought the stick applied on top of foundation or skin tint would pull the base product away from skin. A gentles swipe is all you need for colour pay off and I can safely say it didn’t remove my makeup underneath. The formula is hydrating and applies smoothly. Following 8 hour wear the product didn’t slide around my face or come off. Pleasently surprised by the staying power of such a hydrating product.

The compact, twist up design makes it perfect for on your desk or in your handbag. The packaging is sleek and secure, meaning no crumbly powder or leaking liquid.

Have you tried anything new from Pixi lately?
