Post-lockdown skin prep with Fresh skincare

It's June 21st. My roots are about 5 inches long, I can't remember the taste of shop bought coffee and I am FINALLY booked in for my hair appointment.

As we move into another phase of lock down here in the UK, I've been thinking about how my skin regime has changed over the last 3 months and how it will adapt as lock down restrictions start to ease.

I don't know about you, but my skin has enjoyed all the makeup free days (apart from the times where it's essential for those work video calls!). Whilst looking online I have seen a few different skincare complaints caused by lock down such as breakouts due to skin routine negligence or maybe just drier air indoors effecting skin's hydration. Even though my makeup bag has barely been out of the draw for months, my skin still needs TLC.

My everyday skincare routine is having a real moment with Fresh Beauty. Their products aren't tested on animals and the ingredients lovingly blended to create their formulas are second to none.

Removing makeup and impurities thoroughly: Seaberry Skin Nutrition Cleansing Oil Available at Fresh online here
As I am starting to wear eye makeup a little more and slightly more coverage to my skin, removal in the evening is imperative. This cleansing oil smells divine and not overpowering.

The star of the show is antioxidant seaberry oil which I have never heard of before trying this. It contains omegas 3,6,7 & 9 and removes all impurities. It also doesn't strip my skin or aggravate it which some cleansers do.

I use 2-3 pumps of this every evening and really massage it into my skin, rinsing with luke warm water. I finish with a cold splash of water to close pores.

Protecting against digital light and pollution: Kombucha Antioxidant Essence Available at Fresh online here
When I do start leaving the house more (hopefully for Starbucks and eyebrow appointments!) my skin needs protection from the elements. The liquid essence helps to protect from outdoor and indoor pollution. It also provides protection from digital light and working from a laptop most days means I need all the protection I can get.

Kombucha is a fermented black tea rich is antioxidants which helps with smoothness and skin's luminosity. I mean, I need all of that right now.

I use this by pouring a few drops into the palm of my hands then press directly to my face and neck. Ideal to apply prior to serum and moisturiser. Max hydration!

Moisturise (that nearly 30 year old) skin: Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil
Ok so I have to be honest and tell you something, I have only JUST found out I should be using a facial oil with a moisturiser and after a serum. I really did think an oil replaced the moisturiser, anybody else?

Anyway, this oil contains seaberry oil, cranberry seed oil and camellia seed oil which are all packed with omegas. The scent is very soothing at night, and I can really smell the sweet almond oil. It leaves my skin illuminated and ultra glowing, no dry patches in sight.

I apply 2-3 drops to my face normally in the evening and really work into the skin with my facial roller.

Post-lockdown luscious lips: Sweet as Sugar Lip Kit
I picked mine up at Cult Beauty here
Like my skin, my lips have taken a hit the past few months. From sunbathing when the weather was glorious and the central heating drying them out, they need some TLC.

This super cute little trio comes with an exfoliating sugar lip polish, sugar advanced lip therapy and a caramel lip balm. The exfoliating polish impressed me because it doesn't leave any annoying little gritty bits behind, it all dissolves away as you rub into lips which I love.

The balm smells like a caramel dessert, which is all you need to know because caramel scent is life. But the real hero is the lip therapy stick. I know this is trivial for some people, but I like the packaging firstly. The lid unscrews instead of pulling off, which I prefer because sometimes lids get lost at the bottom of your bag if they can just pop off. It leaves lips dewy and moisturised for hours and is one of the best products I've used to keep flaky smackers at bay.

What’s your favourite Fresh product or what would you like to try?
