Monthly Favourites September 2017

Hi everyone,

Hope you’re all having a great month (and don’t have that obligatory autumn cold like me!)

There are a few things I have really been enjoying this month so I thought why not share them all in one blog post? Here’s what I’ve been loving during the month of September.

 Lifestyle Favourite

Burga Cotton Candy Phonecase | £16.95 inc. p&p

Find it here

This case was kindly sent to me from the guys at Burga and they make the most beautiful, high quality phone cases!

The colour is so cute – it reminds me a unicorn marble, crossed with bubblegum and cotton candy. The case itself is really simple to snap on and off the case, meaning no nasty snapped nails. It’s so lightweight and feels like it isn’t adding extra weight to my phone. I throw this into my bag every day and there aren’t any scratches or fading on the design of the case. For someone who likes to change up their case, this is perfect.

Haircare Favourite

The Body Shop Banana Truly Nourishing Shampoo | 250ml £6.00

The Body Shop Banana Truly Nourishing Hair Mask | 240ml £12

Find the range here

My hair gets super dry because it is colour treated and tends to get frizzy, so whenever I wash my locks I like to use a deep conditioning mask or treatment. The shampoo from this range is so gently and smells simply beautiful, leaving my hair soft, sleek and smelling wonderful. Whilst there is a conditioner that matches this, I prefer something  a little more intense on my hair.

And the mask really steals the show! Very creamy and thick, this feels luxurious the moment it meets my hair. I leave this on following the conditioner for around five minutes, combing through hair with a wide tooth comb whilst the conditioner is in my hair. I then rinse, finishing with a cold rinse and my hair is left manageable and so smoothe. Cannot recommend this range enough.

 Makeup Favourite

Arbonne It’s A Long Story Mascara | £31

Arbonne Intelligence CC Cream Medium | £34

Find Arbonne here

I was lucky enough to receive some makeup treats from Arbonne and having tried their skincare before, I couldn’t wait to see if the makeup was just as fantastic.

This mascara is perfect for achieving a really lengthened, separated lash look without leaving behind any clumps. Since I have only been wearing falsies on special occasions, my own lashes have definitely thanked me and any sparse areas have grown back nicely, so a mascara has been an important step in my routine lately. Once applied, my lashes are left lengthened, lifted and don’t budge for the remainder of the day because of the waterproof formula.

Throughout the summer months, I have been enjoying a really glowy, “my skin but better” look and I’m not quite ready to give that up just because Autumn is here! I am genuinely so impressed by this CC cream, (I would go as far as to say it’s the best one I’ve used so far (and there have been a fair few!). I apply this after moisturiser each morning, and it creates a soft, flawless base that covers any imperfections but doesn’t enlarge pores. After a long work shift, I come home and this is still very firmly in place and has provided me with lasting coverage all day. Fabulous.

Skincare Favourite

The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter | 90ml £10

Find it here

Cleansing balms have been built into my skincare regime for quite some time, and I have tried many different balms from Eve Lom to Clinique. I think I have repurchased this possibly three times now, because I think it has to be one of my favourites. I use a pound sized amount of this wax-like balm and massage into my skin, allowing it to melt down into an oil consistency. My makeup, including eye makeup, melts down and is easily removed with a cotton pad or simply water. This is great for sensitive skin and is suitable for contact lens wearers!

Snack Favourite

Maui & Sons Dark Chocolate Coconut Chips | 40g £1.80

Find them here and in Primark

I actually purchase these from Primark when I’m checking out near the tills and everyone who I have offered them to have loved these. Looking online they only seem to sell them in bulk, but these snacks are light, crunchy and dusted in dark chocolate. They don’t feel heavy or greasy and they are vegan, but also gluten free! What’s not to love?

Last but not least I had to mention these cute pencils I was given by my cousins lovely wife. It was such a thoughtful gift and how perfect are they for my blog?! I love them!
