Whether you’re planning a Palentines evening with your friends, a relaxing evening for yourself or a cute date night with someone special, Valentine’s Day is the perfect occasion to pamper yourself and invest in some self care.

I suppose I am one of those annoying people who looks forward to Valentine’s Day, I love nothing more than a cute pink jumper and some heart print nail art. Here’s a few picks to leave you feeling beautiful inside and out.

I’m a fan of lash extensions, but I love nothing more than a strip lash. They allow you to change up your look and applying a blended eyeshadow or eyeliner is still achievable, whereas with lash extensions I find it a lot more fiddly. These lashes from Jade Louise Cosmetics are faux mink (of course, because cruelty free, always!) Beautiful for an extra smouldering eye look and the style is so fluffy. Jade Louise Cosmetics also stock a Big Booty Blender which ensures a flawless base. My initial foundation was applied with a brush, then I went in with a second layer using the damp Big Booty. It covers some serious ground and the slanted edge is perfect for contour.*

My favourite scent is Peony & Blush Suede from Jo Malone and let me tell you I sprayed the Aldi Hotel Collection Peony Blush one on one wrist last night and Jo Malone on the other. It’s almost identical and the scent of the Hotel Collection is still lingering this morning. Jo Malone is £50.00 for 30ml and Hotel Collection is £6.99 for 100ml, a total steal for a gorgeous dupe.

This twist up Rose lip nourisher from Pixi is ideal for a date. It doesn’t smear and leave unflattering marks everywhere, it stains your lips leaving them moisturised. The wash of colour is so flattering and goes with any look. Another rose scented skincare pick is the Pixi Rose Essence Oil which nourishes and hydrates skin. Teamed with a face roller or Gua Sha before makeup, this really creates a beautiful, glowing base.*

I took a look at the deals on Nails Inc and managed to find this Work Heart, Play Heart 7 piece nail set. It was a total steal for £30.00 and their nail heart topper has transformed a simple, nude nail.

One of my favourite things to do for an event or special occasion is whiten my teeth. I’ve been using the Smile Science whitening strips and they couldn’t be easier to use. Simply rip open the sachet, place one strip on the top and one on the bottom, leave for 20 minutes and then remove the strips. I like to clean my teeth afterwards too to ensure any excess gel is removed. I’ve noticed a visible difference and there is no sensitivity afterwards.*

I didn’t think I could ever have a favourite toothpaste, but the Curaprox Be You Challenger Gin Tonic And Persimmon Toothpaste is a welcome change to a standard mint toothpaste. This has a sweet taste, whitens teeth and leaves my mouth fresh. But the packaging is what I’m really here for.*
