Beauty and Skincare favourites I’m taking with me into 2022

2022 is finally here! If you’re looking to update your beauty stash or revamp your skincare routine, you’ve come to the right place. I’ve put together a list of the beauty and skincare must haves that will be joining me in 2022.

The hair care hero
I’m blonde (bleach is my bestie) and so my hair does require a little more TLC. Pre-pandemic I was sporting a blunt white blonde bob. Since I’ve been working from home my hair care routine has switched and I’ve noticed such a difference in the health of my hair.

Washing it twice a week, rarely heat styling and using nourishing products when I wash my hair has proven to work wonders.

It’s no surprise that OLAPLEX No.3 Hair Perfector is key to the health glow up. Just dampen hair, spread it from roots to ends (a little goes a long way!) and get on with your day. I’ll work at my laptop, go to the gym and leave this sat in my hair for as long as possible until I rinse. The OLAPLEX No.8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask was also repurchased twice, it just works.

The luxe palette
The Charlotte Tilbury Nudegasm Face Palette features two highlight shades and two sculpting shades, contained in the most luxe packaging, it’s just beautiful.

The face palette features what Charlotte refers to as four nude-coded universal shades designed to deliver super glow for every skin tone. The shades are versatile and blendable, also they allow for building for a more intense look. The packaging is such a show stopper, featuring a 90s supermodel vibe.

Nude lip combo
Finding a perfect nude is a tough job and honestly I was struggling, the shades I had were either too cool or too warm. I just couldn’t find that neutral perfect shade. Then I discovered Huda Beauty Power Bullet Matte Lipstick in Anniversary and teamed with Lip Contour 2.0 Automatic Matte Lip Pencil in Terracotta.

This is my perfect nude lip combination! It lasts on lips, it’s mid price point and comfortable on the lips.

The super serum
The Inkey List Hyaluronic Acid is a very affordable hyaluronic acid serum I purchased this several times last year and was also sent a bottle of this direct from The Inkey List. I use it morning and evening before moisturiser, it really helps skin absorb hydration before moisturiser.

Signature fragrance of the moment
A fragrance I’ve been using every single day and receive countless compliments when I’m wearing it, is Alien Goddess by Mugler. It’s reminiscent of holidays for me and takes me back to the beach, I’m not sure what note it is that transports me back but it’s a familiar smell and it’s gorgeous.

Get up and glow
I’m a dry skin girl so I reach for anything that’s going to make my skin look glowy and hydrated. The Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturiser is packed with vitamins and it’s gel like texture is so soothing on my skin. I totally get the hype!

The big sister of that guy is Glow Recipe Watermelon Niacinamide Dew Drops which is a gorgeous, healthy glow in a bottle. I apply this prior to makeup and it preps my skin, leaving it highlighted and hydrated. Works brilliant before the pink juice moisturiser! Huge thank you to my friend for introducing me to these as part of my Christmas gift.

Beauty sleep treat
My skincare routine has greatly improved since I’ve discovered acids. The one I use regularly is Ole Henriksen Dewtopia 20% Acid Night Treatment.  It’s a potent 20% acid serum that helps to re-texturise skin. Definitely a night time treat and only needed once, maybe twice a week.

Everyday eye palette
One of my Christmas presents from my girlfriend was a new eyeshadow palette (she was really happy with herself and let me know “I didn’t get any help when choosing it”. Super cute). It’s the Urban Decay Naked Wild West palette and it’s the first all vegan formula Naked palette. Stunning colours, they last on the eyes and contain a brilliant variety of shades to create bold or everyday looks.

Highlighted to the heavens
A new highlighter I’m using everyday is the Huda Beauty Rose Quartz Face Gloss Highlighting Dew. As well as the obviously stunning packaging, I was suckered in by the balm texture which is studded with golden pearls. As you can see mine is well loved but still pretty.

Bold brows
The brow product I’ve reached for more than any other is the Anastasia Beverley Hills Brow Freeze. I apply this after my brow product (whether it’s pencil, brow pen or pomade) using a spoolie. It never cakes or leaves a gross residue. Just holds brows in place without any fuss.

I hope you enjoyed my little roundup and let me know any favourites you have that you’ll be taking into 2022.
