Splash Botanics by Zoella Beauty

So I honestly hadn’t planned on picking up Zoella’s new beauty range, until I was passing through my local Superdrug and the packaging reached out to me. It was a complete impulse purchase but I’m glad I caved.

The new Splash Botanics products are adorned with palm leaves and smells ultra fresh. What’s not to love?

This is absolutely the product I enjoyed using most from the bits I picked up. A hydrating, cherry scented lip oil which contains nourishing almond, jojoba and argan oils. It leaves my lips soft but not sticky or greasy. The cherry scent of the oil did surprise me, considering the fresh theme of the collection. But in one of her vlogs Zoe said it reminded her of “Baby All Gone” (90s kids will know!) and now the smell takes me back to being a child at Christmas when I received that very doll.

This left my skin feeling really cool when I applied it after being outside in the sunshine all day. My top tip is to pop it in the fridge! It has a light, gel-like consistency and doesn’t leave any sticky, thick residue behind. The ingredients contain hydrating coconut water andradiance-boosting lychee.

Ideal to simply pop in my bag for everyday use during the summer. A light, fresh fragrance that isn’t remotely sickly or overly floral. Highlighted with freesia and delicate iris flowers, this is lovely to mist on top of skin after applying the body sorbet to ensure the smell lingers for that little bit longer.
