Birchbox Happy Days! September

This month, we have been treated to yet again another beautiful themed box from Birchbox for the month of September. The concept behind the idea of "Happy Days", is that September is reminiscent of the back-to-school time where we had many memories. Therefore, we have been provided with a turquoise box lined with bright pink, which is great to store photographs inside, along with a cute photo clip cube lifestyle extra. Enough waffling - onwards to the box!

Benefit It's Potent! Eye Cream 3.0g | £25.50 for full size

I must talk about this first, simply because I cannot contain the excitement I have for this wonderful cream! From Benefit's skincare range, It's Potent eye cream promises to boost microcirculation and fade those dark under-eye circles (which I am prone to). A heroine of eye creams if ever I have seen one, it has a light salmon/caramel colour that just makes my eyes look so much brighter. Most definitely on route to purchase this full size and perhaps try some of the other skincare range from Benefit.

Korres Citrus Body Milk | £9.50 for full size

I have wanted to try the Korres lip butter/balms for some time after seeing rave reviews online for them but simply have not come across the brand with ease. This citrus body milk is so light and silky, absorbs into my skin rapidly and smells like nothing else. Not a fake, overly sweet smell but natural and rich. Almond oil and shea butter leave my skin much softer, also appearing to reduce my "goose flesh" on the backs of my arms.

Model Co Lip Lacquer in "Morocco" | £15 full size

Birchbox allowed us to choose one of our products for this month, which I thought was a completely fab new concept! Model Co are a brand I have used before, (their lip liners are something which deserve to be tried) and I recommend whole heartedly. Two glosses or a mascara were up for grabs and I am pretty sure it was a first come first serve basis. I sent my email off to request for the above gloss in Morocco - a beautiful, creamy, glossy nude shade that looks natural. Raspberries seems to be the scent of this gloss, but I cant put my finger on it - if anyone knows the exact scent please let me know!

Premae Mild Dermabrasion Face & Body Scrub | £25 for full size
Body and facial scrubs are something I like to use at least twice a week, and a small size like this is great to take away with me (did I mention I fly THIS SATURDAY TO FLORIDA? ahem). This has a more buttery, lotion like under-texture and is far less gritty than the normal scrubs I like, but as this is for body and face it would be appropriate to have a less abrasive scrub - I guess the clue is in the name. I like the fact this contains olive granules, something which I didn't know could be used to exfoliate.

Agave Healing Oil Treatment 4ml | Starting from £16

Moroccan oil is my all time favourite hair oil and I did not think there were many, if any, rivals. I have seen more and more Agave advertisements and reviews online lately, the brand is becoming more and more widespread. After I washed my hair, I used a small blob about the size of a penny and distributed it through the mid-lengths to ends. This left my hair less tangled and far more manageable, meaning I didn't have to over-style my hair as the oil had done the hard work for me.

Aside from all the great products in this month's box, I also received these two lovely lifestyle extras.
Birxhbox Happy Days photo clip, which I may pop on my desk at work to keep me smiling throughout the day. I also received a full size packet of Urban Fruit in Smashing Strawberry, 100% fruit which is baked and tastes simply scrummy (I ate mine as a healthy snack at my desk at work).
So overall, for £10, I think this box is amazing value again this month. Happy Days!
