Sun, Sea & Sand

The July Birchbox has been created to evoke memories of summer holidays long since gone and warm evenings where the sun never seems to set. At least that is the feeling I get with this month's Sun, Sea & Sand edition!

Benefit The Porefessional RRP £24.50 (full size)

The first thing that caught my eye in the little drawstring bag was this, the porefessional. A product which has fast become cult amongst beauty users everywhere, a great product that will always be enjoyed. I have been through several tubes of this and I have no idea why I haven't since repurchased. After going through different priming potions and lotions, I think this really is up there as one of the best. I pat it across the centre of my face, particularly my nose and cheeks. This cute little tube will be saved for my holiday, perfect travel size!

Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream RRP £20

I suffer from dark under eye circles and apply a heavy duty night eye cream, alongside a light day cream every morning. This left my under eye area looking visibly lighter and smoother, giving me a more awake look without feeling greasy. I applied my concealer a short time after and was able to without any residue preventing the product from applying smoothly. I would definitely purchase this as my everyday eye cream but unsure I would be willing to pay £20.

Models Own Nail Polish RRP £5 PLUS Lifestyle Extra Filosofile 4 - Sided Nail Buffer

I have many Models Own polishes amongst my vast nail polish collection and the formulas are great. They last well and apply to the nails well, a great all rounder that is affordable. I received the colour 'Rocket', which is a glitter top coat containing red and orange glitter with iridescent sparkles. It is a lovely colour, but I get the feeling I will get the most use out of this through the Autumn/Winter months.

The Filosofile is an absolutely great lifestyle extra in this month's box, I had a four side buffer that was old and desperately needed replacing but i had not got around to it. The four sides consist of film buff, polish and shine, making it a great prep before painting your nails.

Whish Three Wishes Lavender Body Butter £14.50 (full size)

This is most definitely my favourite product I have received this month. I love the pretty packaging and I think once I have used it all up I will repurchase this in full size. The body butter is packed full of antioxidants and leaves my skin so smooth. Alongside the smooth factor, this is one of the nicest scents ever. The lavender scent is very obvious, but I get soft vanilla notes in there too which controls the heaviness of the lavender. Also hidden in this wonderful body butter is organic seaweed, organic shea butter, raspberry butter and organic rice bran oil. Absolutely beautiful product that I would recommend treating yourself to!

Laqa & Co Sheer Lip Lube Pencil In Menatour RRP £14

Before the release of this month's box, I had seen the sneak previews that we would be receiving this lip pencil in either the above purple shade or a coral. Admittedly, I had hoped of the coral shade as I suspected purple would be a difficult shade to wear. How wrong I was! The crayon twists up and has a creamy formula that is not at all drying, with a light mint scent. I applied tho all over my lips, and then dabbed it in with my finger to blend and give a slightly more matte finish. I am so glad I received this colour, something new and out of my comfort zone! Below is a picture of me wearing the lip lube and I love it!

Hope you have enjoyed this month's review of Birchbox! I am still currently subscribed to both Birchbox and Glossybox, I love receiving two boxes a month as a surprise treat that instantly gives me a lift during a dull week.
